Kiki Gaffney (Philadelphia, PA) is a visual artist who works primarily in graphite, oil and acrylic. Her work is highly detailed and explores the natural environment through recognizable imagery in combination with conceptual and abstract ideas. She received a BA in Studio Arts from Loyola College (Baltimore, MD) in 1993, and an MFA in Painting from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA) in 1999. Gaffney is represented by Pentimenti Gallery (Philadelphia, PA), Modern West Fine Art (Salt Lake City, UT) and K. Imperial Fine Art (San Francisco, CA), and has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions at these, as well as other galleries and art spaces around the country. Her work has been included in exhibitions at the Woodmere Art Museum (Philadelphia, PA), The Delaware Contemporary (Wilmington, DE) and the Southern Utah Museum of Art (Cedar City, UT), and has been recognized by renowned curators and artists Robert Storr, Elaine Reichek, Odili Donald Odita and Eileen Neff, to name a few. In addition to exhibitions, Gaffney has been awarded several artist residencies, including the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (Amherst, VA) in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, as well as the Denver Botanic Gardens (Denver, CO) and The Montello Foundation (NYC/Montello, NV), both in 2023. She is married to artist Tom Judd and has a 17-year-old daughter, Astrid.
