Member Tour: Artists as Cultivators
Advance registration is required.
Members are warmly invited to our curator-led tour of Artists as Cultivators. Experience a captivating selection of artworks spanning from the 19th century to the present, and discover how American artists have shaped discourse and ignited change through their engagement with nature.
Inspired by two iconic PAFA exhibitions, The Artist's Garden: American Impressionism and the Garden Movement (2015) and Rising Sun: Artists in an Uncertain America (2023), this showcase celebrates the founding principles of PAFA by a visionary group of artists and civic leaders in 1805 to "promote the cultivation of the Fine Arts, in the United States of America." Join us as we journey through art, history, and Philadelphia's cultural legacy!
Please kindly RSVP to attend.
