Robert Arthur Goodnough

This painting is typical of Goodnough's work from the mid 1980's to the present where layers of leaf-like facets are painted on canvas. Goodnough uses masking tape in this process in order to delineate the geometry. The composition radiates outward from the center, with paler colored shapes forming the perimeter. While the ground remains empty in some areas, it is a comparatively "full" painting, in juxtaposition to his work of the 1970's.
