PAFA's Annual Student Exhibition (ASE) features works by third and fourth-year undergraduate students and second-year students in the graduate program.

The Annual Student Exhibition is a long-standing PAFA tradition allowing students the opportunity to curate, install, and sell their own works in the galleries of our museum.

In addition to serving as an exhibition and art sale, the ASE includes a competition for the coveted Cresson, Schiedt, Von Hess, Ware, and Women’s Board travel scholarships.

Nasir Young '21: A Student Credits Community College For Their PAFA Experience

As a student ambassador, Nasir Young ‘21 can’t help himself when it comes to sharing his excitement about art and PAFA. Young said he’s excited about the school because it took him a few years to finally get here. As a transfer student, Young found that experiencing community college first was integral to his progress as an artist, where he received the necessary training before taking the next step in his art career at PAFA.

120th Annual Student Exhibition & Preview Fundraiser: Celebrate and Support Today's Emerging Artists

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) presents its 120th Annual Student Exhibition (ASE), May 14 through June 6 at 128 North Broad Street, Philadelphia, in the Historic Landmark Building and the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building. On May 13, PAFA will host the school's Commencement ceremonies and the evening's ASE Virtual Preview.

Annual Student Exhibition Preview

The ASE Preview kicks off the historic Annual Student Exhibition (ASE) and supports student scholarships at PAFA. Preview guests are offered the first chance to view and purchase over one thousand works of art created by PAFA's student-artists.
