One Night Only! PAFA's Annual Student Print Sale Returns Dec. 4

A popular tradition for creative holiday shoppers, with hundreds
of works by emerging student artists, all priced under $150

PHILADELPHIA (November 23, 2015) -- The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) hosts the 22nd Annual Student Print Sale on Friday, December 4, offering holiday shoppers the opportunity to purchase beautiful and unique gifts while supporting up-and-coming artists.

A popular holiday tradition at PAFA, the sale offers a colorful assortment of original etchings, screen prints, lithographs, woodcuts, stamp prints and more, all created by talented students enrolled in PAFA's celebrated printmaking program. Shoppers also can enter to win a raffle for a print created by a PAFA faculty member.

The Student Print Sale will be held on the 6th floor of PAFA's Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building, located at 128 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia. Admission is free.

An exclusive preview for PAFA members will be held on December 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The 22nd Annual Student Print Sale will be open to the general public from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Shoppers are encouraged to share their one-of-a-kind finds on social media using #PAFAPrintSale.

PAFA's printmaking program provides highly personalized attention to each artist through individual and group mentoring, classes and critiques.Students gain mastery in woodcut and relief printmaking, etching, drypoint and other intaglio processes, plate and stone lithography and the arts of silkscreen, letterpress, book arts and digital media.

Instruction includes both color and black-and-white techniques and provides advanced courses for in-depth experience and specialized technical training with printmaking methods.
