PAFA's Annual Student Print Sale Turns 21! 

A popular tradition for creative holiday shoppers, offering hundreds
of works by emerging student artists, priced under $150

PHILADELPHIA (November 12, 2014) - The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) hosts the 21st Annual Student Print Sale on Friday, December 5, offering holiday shoppers the opportunity to purchase unique holiday gifts while supporting up-and-coming artists.
   
A popular holiday tradition at PAFA, the sale offers a colorful assortment of original etchings, screen prints, lithographs, woodcuts, stamp prints and more, all created by talented students enrolled in the School of Fine Arts' Printmaking Program. Shoppers also can enter to win a raffle for a print created by a PAFA faculty member.
 
The Print Sale will be held on the 6th floor of PAFA's Samuel M.V. Hamilton Building, located at 128 N. Broad Street in Philadelphia. Admission is free.
 
An exclusive preview for PAFA members will be held on December 5 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The 21st Annual Print Sale will be open to the general public from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
 
Shoppers are encouraged to share their Print Sale one-of-a-kind finds on social media using #PAFAPrintSale.
 
PAFA's Printmaking Program offers students a broad-based introductory level experience in printmaking processes, a certain level of expertise, and an appreciation of each printmaking discipline. The curriculum of the Printmaking Program is intended to provide a working knowledge of various media and processes, including woodcut and relief printmaking, intaglio, lithographic processes and silkscreen.  It also offers instruction in letterpress, book arts and digital media.
