Greg Niedt is a researcher and project manager based in Philadelphia. Greg's background is in sociolinguistics and visual communication, having received a BA from Rutgers University in New Jersey, MA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and a PhD from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Currently, their research interests include the relationship between culture, language, and identity; representations of minority groups in the urban landscape; and mediated discourses of queer identity. Greg is currently teaching Topics in Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, and will be teaching Queer Media & Culture in the spring; when not at PAFA, they can be found working for an immigrant/refugee assistance nonprofit, and moonlighting as a poet.
